In a lived life, life lives
All of the great traditions, teachers and texts tell us, in one way or another, that the joyful, meaningful and happy life can be realized by each of us. The difficulty in achieving this goal is that by habitually thinking about life I remove myself from the act of life. Life is more of an act than a thought. For each of us life reveals itself and evolves itself through each of us as we involve ourselves in the perennial process of becoming a person. As I make choices and act upon those choices I develop, I evoke, I evolve. And because I am in life and of life, life evolves too. An evocative evolutionary perspective is that life, lives itself, and grows itself, through the progressive and perpetual developmental trajectory of each of us. Life lives us as much as we live life.
